WHAT: Anti-Litter Poster Contest
PURPOSE: To raise awareness of litter in Anaheim and challenge students to create an innovative poster to discourage litter in our community
THEME: "Together, our neighborhood can be litter free"
WHO: Students in grades K-6 who live or attend school in the City of Anaheim
WHEN Contest kick off April 2, 2012, and ends April 23, 2012. Winners will be posted on the Anaheim Public Library and Public Works websites and will be contacted directly. |
HOW:
Visit any Anaheim Public Library to pick up an entry form
All entries must be hand drawn on the back of this official entry form
Entries must be created by the student with very little, if any, adult help
Designs may be made using crayons, colored pencils, or markers only
Written messages should be brief and in good taste
All entries must be original artwork created by the student
Return your completed entry to any Anaheim Public Library by April 23, 2012
One entry per student
WHERE: Finalists posters will be displayed at City Hall and Anaheim Public Libraries |
JUDGING: Students will be divided into two groups: grades K-3 and 4-6. Posters will be judged on the basis of creativity, originality, and expression of contest theme.
PRIZES: Gold, Silver and Bronze winners will be selected from each grade group:
Gold Winners: iPod (Valued at $150)
Silver Winners: Bike (Valued at $100)
Bronze Winners: $50 Gift Certificate
