Join us as we crown Miss Anaheim Beautiful 2019-2020 and her court of Anaheim Beautiful Teen and Junior Ambassadors. This not a typical “beauty pageant” but rather a personal growth & development program. These young ladies dedicate their time to working alongside various nonprofit organizations in our city and volunteer at community events. You can’t always see them around town volunteering and making a difference! The other goal of this program is for the ladies to build their confidence and character while learning about Anaheim. Our city is truly Anaheim Beautiful :)

  1. I am An American: Japanese Incarceration in Time of Fear Exhibition at Muzeo

    September 29, 2019, 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM @ Muzeo Museum and Cultural Center

Anaheim Public Library presents the story of an amazing testament of courage and determination of its Japanese American pioneers and their descendants before and after WWII. Anaheim High School was the center of North Orange County education for this community where they established businesses and a church prior to WWII. Anaheim was attractive for these families to return and rebuild the City becoming a center for local Japanese American commerce and religion in Orange County. This 5,000 square foot exhibit will feature personal testimonials, artifacts, and memorabilia as well as give a first-hand look at Poston, Arizona incarceration camp experience which affected and devastated those in Anaheim and Orange County from 1942-1945.
