    Looking for a way to help your community? UCI Irvine Health is hosting a mobile blood drive in the parking lot at Anaheim Central Library (500 W. Broadway). All donors must wear a face covering or mask. Please make sure you are well and healthy. Blood donors will receive a free t-shirt or a gift certificate for a pint of Baskin Robbins ice cream. A photo ID is required for all who wish to donate blood and an appointment is required.

The author of "Black Oscars" shares research and shows how to recognize racial patterns. Q&A to follow. Anaheim Public Library is pleased to present a series of presentations on the Power of Image. So much of what we think we know about BIPOC individuals in our society is mediated through mainstream media, which generates images for widespread consumption. The question is: are these images within proportion or within distortion?
