Developers Creating Vibrant New Neighborhoods

SA STREET IMAGECentral Anaheim will soon be home to vibrant new neighborhoods.

  • Developer John Laing Homes has been selected by the Redevelopment Agency to develop homes on properties located on South Anaheim Boulevard between Santa Ana and South Streets. The proposed project - being built on a former trucking site - would be for-sale housing consistent with the already approved Anaheim Boulevard Overlay Zone, and will include up to 56 units.
  • A second residential initiative is the development of single family and multi-family housing on a site formerly occupied by Kwikset. Approximately two-thirds of the site would be used as single family, for-sale housing. Approximately 120 units are planned.
  • The Agency has been negotiating with Lewis Investment Company to develop the remaining one-third of the Kwikset site to be developed into multi-family rental with approximately 200 units.

Given that these sites are located within the Anaheim Historic Colony District - an area bounded by East, South, West and North Streets - new housing development proposals will be developed to complement the historic neighborhoods.
