The Purchasing Division's mission is to ensure the acquisition of quality goods and services at the lowest total cost for the City and to promote fairness and open competition for all suppliers. Operating under the authority of the City Charter, Municipal Code, and City Council policies, the division oversees the competitive bidding process and supplier selection for a wide variety of materials, supplies, equipment and services utilized by the various City departments. The Purchasing Division is also responsible for the Central Stores Warehouse and Reprographics and Mail Services programs.
