 Housing Development & CDBG Administration

The Housing Development & CDBG Administration Division provides incentives and direct financial assistance primarily through the use of Redevelopment Housing Set-Aside funds,
to encourage developers to improve, preserve and expand the supply of affordable housing opportunities in the City. The
division also administers the Federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program, including coordination of City
and neighborhood council one-year funding priorities, design,
bid, award and construction of neighborhood public
infrastructure improvements, preparation and submittal of all required federal reports and preparation and monitoring of subrecipient agreements.

Workforce Development

The Workforce Development Division establishes and maintains the One-Stop Service Delivery system for the City of Anaheim and manages the Anaheim Workforce Center, a technology-based employment and education environment that provides job-seeker and employer services in one central location.

Programs are designed to match employer needs to qualified local job seekers. Employer benefits include recruitment and training services, wage subsidies, technical assistance during lay-off or closure and other employment and training assistance. Special funds provide a comprehensive mix of employment activities and services to long-term welfare recipients.

Anaheim Economic Development Division

The Economic Development Division of the City of Anaheim is an integral part of the city's Community Development Department. Our division strives to help businesses in our community through a variety of business incentive programs, including an alliance with Anaheim Public Utilities. These programs provide economic support that helps make companies more competitive in Anaheim. This is just one of several mechanisms in place that can help businesses located in our city.
