OCNC Facility Rentals

 

   Oak Canyon Nature Center's outdoor amphitheatre and back deck area are available on a rental basis for a variety of group uses, including weddings.  Please read the following information on the policies, regulations, Nature Center responsibilities, and fee structure.  If you are interested in renting the amphitheatre, or back deck please complete and sign the application form, and return it to the Nature Center.  You will be contacted regarding date availability and fee payment procedures.

Rental Policies:

  1. Please visit Oak Canyon, if you haven't already done so, to make sure that the facility meets your needs. 

  2. Recommended seating or attendance for any event is 125. 

  3. No smoking is permitted on Nature Center grounds or within the building.

  4. No amplification of music or voices is permitted.  Acoustic music is very nice in this outdoor setting. 

  5. Serving alcoholic beverages requires a special permit and additional fees apply. 

  6. No vehicles may be parked on the access road or within the Nature Center grounds.  Loading and unloading of supplies and handicapped individuals is permitted.

  7. No rice may be thrown at weddings.  Birdseed is strongly encouraged. 

  8. Decorations must be limited to the amphitheatre or back deck area. 

  9. During regular operating hours, the Nature Center is open to the public.  Staff members cannot guarantee the absence of interference by Nature Center visitors during the rentee's event or program. 

  10. There is no additional charge if a small‑scale rehearsal is held during regular operating hours.  Rehearsal time and date must be noted in the designated space on the application form. 

  11. Natural events or conditions such as weather cannot be guaranteed or controlled by the Nature Center. 

  12. The time frame you select as your rental time should include time for decorating, preparation, and take down.  Additional hourly rental charges will be assessed for early arrival and late departure. 

  13. The Nature Center has limited restroom facilities and does not have indoor space for a "bride's room." 

  14. The date will not be officially reserved for your event until full payment of necessary fees. 

  15. For events held on a rental basis, the Nature Center will: sweep the amphitheatre stage or the back deck and wipe down the benches; pick up visible litter; and unlock the drive‑in access gate for loading and unloading purposes, if indicated.

      

Oak Canyon Nature Center Rental Fee:

Anaheim resident, Individual $30 per hour
Non‑resident, Individual $40 per hour
Anaheim resident, Non‑profit $25 per hour
Non‑resident, Non‑profit $35 per hour
Anaheim resident, Commercial $45 per hour
Non‑resident, Commercial $50 per hour
Application Processing Fee $10 per date, $15 per multiple dates
Refundable Security/Cleaning Deposit $75

 

(Deposit monies are refunded based upon the condition of the facility at the stated conclusion time of the event.)

 

The Nature Center allows alcoholic beverage service only with a General Liability Insurance Certificate provided by Tenant.   Tenant is subject to specific terms and conditions.  Please request the Agreement for Use and Regulations Form from Nature Center staff.  There is an additional fee of $25 per hour.

The above fees pertain to rental of the amphitheatre or back deck during regular Nature Center operating hours 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., seven days a week, with a 1 hour minimum rental.  Summer Wednesday evening programs extend closing hour, please ask for specific dates.

Special arrangements can be made for rentals extending before or after regular hours dependent upon staff availability, with a 2 hour minimum rental.

Extended hours staffing charge is $30 per hour (2 hour minimum).
