Prevention Bureau
Life Safety Section provides a number of services to the community. These services include fire and life safety inspections, issuing fire code permits and responding to citizen complaints. The Life Safety Section also provides copies of all documents related to the fire department that are public record. The section consists of one Deputy Fire Marshal, four Fire Inspectors, and four support staff. Environmental Protection Section manages the hazardous materials disclosure program, the California Accidental Release Prevention Program, and the underground storage tank program. The Environmental Protection Section administers the regional hazardous materials team joint powers agreement as well as the small hydrocarbon pick-up program. The section consists of one Deputy Fire Marshal, four Hazardous Materials Specialists, and two support staff. |
