Anaheim CERT promotes the ongoing training and participation of our volunteer force by providing many educational
opportunities to better prepare for and respond to disasters.
CERT Certified volunteers within the City of Anaheim fall
under three different levels of training to prepare volunteers
to respond in a variety of areas during a disaster situation.
In addition, we require that all certified CERT volunteers re-certify on an annual basis to maintain their active status as a Disaster Service Worker.
Re-certification is an essential aspect of the Anaheim CERT
program to ensure that all volunteers responding to a major
disaster or assisting first responders are current in their
education and training. members whose certification has
expired move from an active to an inactive CERT member
and will not be activated by the Office of Disaster Preparedness or the Emergency Operations Center as a Disaster Service Worker.
