FEMA has announced that Californians who have applied for disaster assistance following the wildfires and have received a denial letter should not be alarmed. Every homeowner who has insurance will get a FEMA denial letter if their insurance claim is not settled. Please click here for the November 28 press release and complete details.
In addition, FEMA has released the following information:
·The final registration date with FEMA is Jan. 20, 2009.
·If a resident receives a denial letter from FEMA, there are other options.
·Public assistance has been expanded; Civic restoration funds may be available.
