Welcome to the City of Anaheim’s Housing Element Update Home Page. The Housing Element is an important chapter of the City’s General Plan which serves as Anaheim’s future guide for development. The Housing Element assesses housing needs in the City and establishes the policies and programs necessary to address those needs. The City is now in the process of updating this important planning document and the update will cover the 2014-2021 planning period.

We encourage all Anaheim residents and stakeholders to help us plan for the City's future housing needs.  The quick links to the left will allow you to learn about the status of the City's Housing Element update process, including some of the work that has occurred to date.  There is also a link to a survey which will allow you to share what matters most to you when it comes to housing the City's current and future residents. Information on the City Council-appointed Housing Element Ad Hoc Committee can also be reviewed.
