Lifeguard Training
Now you can get the training necessary to apply for a job as a Red Cross Certified Lifeguard! Upon successful completion, you will receive an American Red Cross certificate in Lifeguard Training, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, First Aid, and Automated External Defibrillation (AED). On the first day of class, participants must pass a pre-test consisting of a 300 yard swim and swim 20 yards, retrieve a 10 lb brick from deep water and return with the brick to the starting point. Attendance at all class meetings is mandatory; there will be no make-up classes.  Participants must be 15 years old. Water Safety Instructor
This American Red Cross course will provide the instruction necessary to become a swim instructor for children and adults. You will learn techniques in swim skill progression and lesson planning as well as improve and perfect your own swimming abilities. You will receive an American Red Cross certification upon successful completion of the course. Participants must be 16 years old.
