Mission Statement

The City Attorney's Office is committed to providing excellent legal services in order to facilitate Anaheim's vision, as defined by the City Council, in an efficient and effective manner, and consistent with the highest professional and ethical standards.

The City Attorney’s Office consists of the City Attorney, two Senior Assistant City Attorneys, six Assistant City Attorneys, eleven Deputy City Attorneys, a Paralegal, a Law Office Administrator and six support staff. The City Attorney’s Office has three divisions: Civil, Prosecution and Legal Administration.

 

Cristina Talley
City Attorney

Cristina Talley was appointed the Anaheim City Attorney in April 2009. She has served the City of Anaheim since 1996, first as Senior Assistant City Attorney, Civil Division and later as Acting City Attorney. Before joining the City of Anaheim, Cristina served two years as City Attorney for the City of Pasadena. Prior to entering into public service, Cristina was a Partner at Adams, Duque and Hazeltine in Los Angeles, and an Associate at the law firms of Richards, Watson and Gershon, and Burke, Williams and Sorensen, also in Los Angeles. While in private practice, Cristina specialized in public law, representing cities, counties and other governmental districts throughout Southern California, with an emphasis in litigation.

Cristina received her Juris Doctor from the University of Southern California, and her Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Arts from Cal Poly Pomona. She currently serves as President for the Orange County City Attorney’s Association, and is a founding member of the Board of Trustees of the Anaheim Family Justice Center Foundation.

Cristina is married to Brooks Talley and has two sons.
