Gail E. Eastman Gail E. Eastman is an author and businesswoman elected to the Anaheim City Council in November 2010. Eastman is a governmental relations consultant on land use entitlements and serves as a community relations specialist. She is an independent writer, researcher and coordinator on history book projects for a publishing company and holds an Anaheim Business License for her home office used as her base of operations.
 
Eastman and her husband became involved in the creation of Anaheim's first recognized historic district after purchasing a 1924 catalog house in 1990. She has served on the Anaheim Fall Festival and Halloween Parade Board of Directors, Anaheim Historical Society executive board, Anaheim Transportation Network board of directors, Support Our Anaheim Resort advisory committee, Citron District Neighborhood Council, Central District Neighborhood Council, Downtown Anaheim Association, Downtown Design Review Committee, Mayors Downtown Design Charette, and is a founding member of the CBDG Central District Traffic Calming Committee as well as the Anaheim Historic Preservation Committee. 

In 2001, Eastman was appointed to the City of Anaheim's Planning Commission and served two four-year terms, including three consecutive years as Chair. In 2008, she was selected as the 34th District "Woman of the Year" by Senator Lou Correa.

While serving on Anaheim's Planning Commission, Eastman wrote "Anna's Home by the River," a children's book that tells the 150-year history of Anaheim. Each year, she helps raise funding for the Mayor's Gift of History event at the Anaheim Convention Center, where the book is presented to thousands of third grade students who attend.

Eastman lives in Anaheim with her husband Ron. They enjoy spending time with their three sons and their families.
