Division Description
The Accounting/Payroll Division monitors and reports on the financial position of the City and functions as a support service for other City departments. It monitors, records and reports all financial transactions, coordinates and prepares the City's annual financial statements and administers the City's outstanding debt to ensure that the legal requirements of bond documents are met. The Division also provides oversight for the City's system of internal controls to safeguard the assets of the City, administers the reporting of fixed assets, processes miscellaneous billings for amounts owed to the City (with the exception of utility billings), and processes all invoices to the City for goods and services purchased. The Division also processes and distributes the City's payroll.
