| Anaheim Rapid Connection (ARC - AA) |
|
ARC is a proposed 3.5-mile transit system that would provide seamless connections with Metrolink, Amtrak, bus and future high-speed train service from the Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center (ARTIC) to major activity centers in the Platinum Triangle and The Anaheim Resort. This state-of-the art system is envisioned to improve mobility for Anaheim’s growing number of residents and workers by providing transportation to home, work and regional transit. For Anaheim’s approximate 20 million annual visitors, this system would offer a visible, efficient and reliable transit service to Anaheim’s major destinations. The City, in cooperation with the Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA), has prepared an Alternatives Analysis (AA) Report which evaluates different technologies for the ARC transit system including a No Build option, an Enhanced Bus, a Streetcar and an Elevated Fixed-Guideway. This report includes an analysis and comparison of the alternatives and input received from the public. Next steps will include City Council selection of a Locally Preferred Alternative (LPA), which will be further analyzed as part of an environmental review process. Document Links: |
