Welcome to the Anaheim Housing Authority (AHA) webpage. Here you will find information about the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Program and how to apply for the program. The Section 8 HCV Program allows over 6,000 very-low income households to live in decent, safe, and affordable housing. Without rental assistance many of these households would be homeless, or living in substandard housing, and unable to afford the basic necessities of life for themselves and their families. I hope you will find this information useful and that it will benefit you or someone you care about.

The Anaheim Housing Authority's new Partner Portal is available. Partner Portal is a web-based solution just for owners. You can log in to our Partner Portal site at your own convenience and review information on your Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) tenants, your units, and your payments. A special reporting feature will allow you to download information for your files as well.

The Anaheim Housing Authority has partnered with GoSection8 to provide landlords with a free Section 8 compliant listing service for your units. There is no limit to the number of properties you can list, and you can include photos. Description of the Section 8 Program

The Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Program, also known as the Section 8 Program, is a federal program funded by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The Program assists eligible households to find decent, safe and affordable housing. Participants generally pay from 30-40% of their monthly income for rent and AHA subsidizes the difference in a payment made directly to the landlord (up to a specific rent limit called the payment standard). Participants are assisted in privately owned housing. Families can rent an apartment, a single-family home, a condominium, or a mobile home. Prior to receiving assistance, the rental unit must pass a Housing Quality Standard (HQS) inspection. Click on FAQs for additional information. AHA maintains a list of property owners who are interested in renting to HCV program eligible families. However, the family is not limited to selecting a unit on the list. Participation in the program is open to all landlords who are willing to enter into a Housing Assistance Payment contract with AHA.
