New Project-Based Voucher Waiting Lists Now Open

Waiting lists are now open for Project-Based Voucher building waiting lists.  To apply for those waiting lists open to the general public, please click here.  Please be advised, these lists are only open to those households that either live or work in Anaheim.  To qualify as “working” in Anaheim, you must be employed or volunteer at least 40 hours per month or participate in an education or job training program in Anaheim. Please be advised that if you are already an applicant on the Section 8 waiting list, any changes you make when applying to the following lists will affect your Section 8 application on file.

 

Several Project-Based Voucher building waiting lists are not available online.  For these buildings, you must meet all of the property’s eligibility requirements before you may apply to the waiting list.  If you are interested in any of the buildings below and believe you are eligible, please contact the agency listed.

 

 

1.   Casa Alegre: You must be homeless (living on the streets, a car, a transitional housing facility, a shelter or in a medical facility with nowhere to go upon discharge) and be HIV positive.  These units are for one to two people only.  Those who live or work in Anaheim are given preference.  To qualify for the waiting list you must be screened and referred by the AIDS Services Foundation Orange County.

2.   Integrity Cottages:  These units are designated only for single-member households who are developmentally disabled.  Those who live or work in Anaheim are given preference.  To qualify for the waiting list you must be screened and referred by the Regional Center Orange County.

3.   Mariposa Cottages:  These one and two-bedroom units are designated only for households with one to four members.  One member must have a developmental disability.  Those who live or work in Anaheim are given preference.  To qualify for the waiting list you must be screened and referred by the Regional Center Orange County.

4.   Casa del Sol:  These two and three-bedroom units are designated only for households with three to six members.  One member must have a developmental disability.  Those who live or work in Anaheim are given preference.  To qualify for the waiting list you must be screened and referred by the Regional Center Orange County.

5.     Tyrol Plaza:  These one-bedroom units are designated only for households with one or two members.  Applicants must be seniors, at least 62 years or older.  Most units are designated for seniors who are also disabled and/or homeless or victims of domestic violence.

6.      Diamond Isle: These one and two-bedroom units are designated only for households with one to four members, homeless and mentally ill.  Those who live or work in Anaheim are given preference.  To qualify for the waiting list you must be screened and referred by Telecare and Orange (TAO).
