Public Works Mission Statement

The Department of Public Works is dedicated to delivering engineering and operational services that provide the Anaheim community with pride in their City and its work force.

The Administration Division provides general planning and management of the department including policy direction and program evaluation.

Combined within Administration is Transit Planning, which promotes improved mobility by enabling mode choices with reliable travel times. Transit Services encourages civic entrepreneurship and stimulates private involvement and investment in meeting both short-term needs and implementing long-term transit projects.

The Department's construction activities are outlined in the City of Anaheim's Annual Budget document, Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) section. The CIP is a projection of the City's capital investments over a five-year period and addresses the need to maintain/improve the City's streets, sewers, and other infrastructure assets.
