ANAHEIM PUBLIC UTILITIES PRESENTS FREE BUSINESS SEMINAR ON ENERGY EFFICIENT LIGHTING SYSTEMS

ANAHEIM, CA (June 17, 2005) - Anaheim Public Utilities invites local businesses to register for a free seminar titled Energy Efficient Lighting Systems. This workshop presents useful information about lighting concepts and terms, and how to improve lighting efficiency with maintenance, lighting levels, de-lamping, daylighting and control strategies. Attendees will learn about new lighting technology and types of lamps, including four generations of T-8 fluorescent lamps, T-5 lamps, induction, high-intensity discharge lamps, LEDs and more.

Anaheim business customers are also invited to bring up to three incandescent lamps to the seminar to trade them in for free compact fluorescent lamps under Anaheim’s “Change the Lights” program. The seminar will also explain how qualifying customers can receive free audits, compact fluorescent lamps through the exchange program, refrigeration and air conditioning tune-ups, programmable thermostats and other incentives through Advantage Services.

The seminar will be held from 5:30-8:30 p.m., Thursday, June 23, at City Hall West, 201 S. Anaheim Blvd., in the Gordon Hoyt Conference Center on the second floor. Registration begins at 5 p.m., at which time food will be provided. Seating is limited, and reservations are required.
