ANAHEIM PUBLIC UTILITIES SHARES BENEFITS OF SOLAR POWER WITH A FREE WORKSHOP FOR RESIDENTS
ANAHEIM, CA (September 29, 2005) - Solar energy . . . What is it? How does it work? What are the costs? What are the benefits? How does a homeowner get a system installed? Anaheim homeowners interested in getting answers to these questions are invited to attend Anaheim Public Utilities’ free Solar Power Workshop for Residents on Saturday, Oct. 8. Residents will learn about the fundamentals of solar power systems, how to determine power needs and how to equip their homes with solar power.
The workshop will be held from 9 a.m.-noon at the Downtown Community Center, 250 E. Center St. Anaheim residents who attend will each receive a free information packet that includes summaries of solar power technology and details on available incentive funds for installing residential solar power systems.
A slide presentation will take attendees on a virtual tour of the solar power systems installed in the City of Anaheim and share the basic principles of solar energy. An Anaheim resident will also discuss personal experiences with the home solar power system. For more information or to enroll in the workshop, please call 765-4182. Reservations are required.
