Edwards has been with the City of Anaheim since January 2001. She has full management responsibility to plan, direct and manage the day-to-day activities and operations of the Utilities Department. She temporarily left her position with Anaheim for six months in 2004 to assume the role of Acting CEO on an interim basis for the California Independent System Operator

Edwards, who has 30-plus years of service to the public utilities industry and the communities of Los Angeles and Anaheim, was a past recipient of The Orange County Business Journal's Annual Women in Business Award. She has a bachelor's degree in organizational management from the University of La Verne, and is also the current president of the California Municipal Utilities Association, as well as the California/Nevada regional director for the American Public Power Association.BR>
