ANAHEIM PUBLIC UTILITIES PRESENTS FREE BUSINESS SEMINARS ON HEATING, VENTILATION AND
AIR CONDITIONING UNITS
ANAHEIM, CA (March 7, 2006) - Anaheim Public Utilities invites local businesses to register for a free seminar titled Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Systems (Package Units). The seminar will be held from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 21, at City Hall West, 201 S. Anaheim Blvd., in the Gordon Hoyt Conference Center on the second floor. Registration begins at 8 a.m., with lunch provided from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Seating is limited, and reservations are required.
This is the first of a two-part series presenting the fundamentals of HVAC systems found in residential and small to medium commercial and industrial facilities. Some previous air conditioning system experience is helpful, but this workshop covers the basics. The course introduces package unit system components, controls and applications, and presents energy efficiency maintenance and operations concepts, and how package unit efficiency has improved dramatically over recent years. Using audit worksheets in an in-class exercise, participants will explore package unit replacement economics. Please note that Part II in the package units series is scheduled for Tuesday, April 18.
Attendees must register by Friday, March 17. To register for the seminar, call 714/765-4291 or e-mail anaheimpublicutilities@anaheim.net.
