ANAHEIM PUBLIC UTILITIES PRESENTS FREE BUSINESS SEMINAR ON ENERGY EFFICIENT LIGHTING SYSTEMS

ANAHEIM, CA (September 14, 2006) - Anaheim Public Utilities invites local businesses to register for a free seminar titled Energy Efficient Lighting Systems. In many facilities, existing lighting systems often were not designed with energy conservation in mind and not appropriate for the tasks per¬formed at the facility.

The seminar will be held from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 26, at City Hall West, 201 S. Anaheim Blvd., in the Gordon Hoyt Conference Center on the second floor. Registration begins at 8 a.m., and lunch is provided. Seating is limited, and reservations are required.

Participants will learn how to improve lighting efficiency with maintenance, correct lighting levels, de-lamping, daylighting and control strategies. Also discussed will be new lighting technology and types of lamps, including four generations of T-8 fluorescent lamps, T-5 lamps-induction, high intensity discharge lamps, LEDs and more.

The seminar will also explain how qualifying customers can receive free audits, refrigeration and air conditioning tune-ups, programmable thermostats and other incentives through Advantage Services.
