ANAHEIM PUBLIC UTILITIES’ ANNUAL REPORT WINS TOP HONOR
FOR SECOND STRAIGHT YEAR IN NATIONAL PUBLIC POWER CONTEST
ANAHEIM, CA (November 21, 2006) - For the second straight year, Anaheim Public Utilities received the Award of Excellence for its Annual Report at the recent American Public Power Association (APPA) Customer Connections Conference in San Antonio, TX.
Only four annual reports among the nation’s more than 2,000 community- and state-owned electric utilities, received the coveted Award of Excellence. Anaheim’s report was judged the best in the category of entrants with gross revenues between $200 million-$400 million.
APPA is a national service organization that conducts the annual report contest to encourage and recognize excellence in communications. The reports are judged on content, design, financial data, creativity, graphics, organization and communicating the utility’s special story.
Anaheim Public Utilities’ 2005 Annual Report was entitled Building Community. In addition to current financial data about Anaheim’s water and electric utilities, the report illustrates the utilities’ partnership approach to doing business and the unique way Anaheim turns obstacles into opportunities.
