ANAHEIM, CA - (July 1, 2009) - Marcie L. Edwards, General Manager of Anaheim Public Utilities, recently received the American Public Power Association’s (APPA) James D. The award recognizes individuals who have made substantial contributions to the electric utility industry, with a special commitment to public power.
APPA is a service organization representing more than 2,000 community-owned electric utilities serving more than 45 million people across the country. Receiving the James D. Donovan award is a notable honor; it is the second highest award bestowed by the Association. “Anaheim is extremely proud of Marcie for this recognition. It is validation from her peers that she has significantly contributed to the utility industry” said Anaheim Mayor Curt Pringle.
