Lunch Café serving hot meals on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays starting at 11:00 a.m. weekly. Lunches served meet the federal nutritional guidelines. The Lunch Café is open to anyone 60 or older. There is a suggested donation of $3.00, but everyone is welcome, even if a donation is not possible. Guests under 60 can enjoy lunch for $5.00. Programs, Classes and Activities
Anaheim Active Older Adults have a variety of activities located across Anaheim that offer something for every skill set and interest.
Longevity Stick, Qui-gong and Tai Chi – Learn a series of movements designed to improve balance, flexibility, strength, mental focus and breathing capacity. All movements are simple and done standing. Bring your own stick. Classes available at Downtown Anaheim Community Center and West Anaheim Youth Center.
Games- There are a large range of games played at our program locations. Bridge, Billiards, Pinochle, Canasta, Chess, Bingo and Mahjong, Billiards and Bobble Ball to name a few. Classes available at Downtown Anaheim Community Center and East Anaheim Community Center.
Educational Classes- Art, Tone Chime Choir, English as a Second Language, Crochet instruction, Line Dance, technology classes, band and a wide range of short-term classes on a range of individual topics of interest are available at centers across the city.
Athletic and Recreational Activities- Health and Wellness exercise groups for all levels of fitness, Volleyball, Pickle ball, Zumba Gold and Table Tennis are available at multiple sites across Anaheim. East to west Anaheim, there is an opportunity for you to stay active. All skill and experience levels can find their activity that helps to strengthen muscle tone and flexibility. Locations include East Anaheim Gymnasium, Downtown Anaheim Community Center, Downtown Anaheim Youth Center and West Anaheim Youth Center.
