Veterans Print Resource Directory
The City of Anaheim's Veterans Resource Directory is for active service members, veterans, and their families. This printed guide provides information about current programs available in the Anaheim community. Anaheim recognizes that the transition into the civilian workforce and community can be challenging. This creates an important need for assistance when service members return home. Through this directory, veterans can connect to important local resources for employment, housing, education, health care, and more.
Anaheim Housing Authority
The Anaheim Housing Authority provides a Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Program with preference to veterans that live and/or work in Anaheim. The HCV Program currently provides vouchers to veterans. In addition, veterans currently on the waiting list are given preference.
Veteran Affairs Supportive Housing (HUD-VASH) Voucher Program
This program combines the HCV Program rental assistance for homeless veterans with case management and clinical services provided by the VA.

Annual Job Fairs
Annual job fairs are hosted by the Anaheim Workforce Investment Board and provide centralized employment services provided to veterans. The Annual Anaheim/Orange County Job Fair is held in June and gives veterans the opportunity to learn new job search skills and interact directly with prospective employers.
County of Orange Veterans Service Office
The County of Orange Veterans Service Office provides free benefit claims counseling and information and referral assistance to veterans, their dependents and survivors.
Employment Development Department (EDD)
A representative from the State of California Employment Development Department (EDD) is available to assist veterans with employment opportunities and unemployment benefits. Anaheim One-Stop System Satellite Employment Development Department is located at:

Veteran Affairs (VA)
A representative from the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) is available to facilitate comprehensive services to veterans and provide referral services for all program and activities are offered through the VA.
Veteran Gold Card Initiative
With the Veteran's Employment and Training Services, veteran preference is given to employment seekers including case management for up to 6 months, training opportunities, career planning and advice and other services.
