Statement of Economic Interests - Form 700

The Political Reform Act ("PRA"), also known as the Conflict of Interest Code, requires designated public officials to file a Statement of Economic Interests ("SEI"), Form 700 (aka Conflict of Interest Statement). The purpose is to disclose assets and income which may be materially affected by their official actions.

The City Clerk reviews its Conflict of Interest Code every two years, as required by the PRA. There are generally three types of statements filed on Form 700: 1) Assuming Office, which is filed when a new employee fills a designated position; 2) Leaving Office, which is filed when an employee leaves a designated position; and 3) Annual statement, which is filed by continuing designated employees and must be filed no later that April 1st of each year.
