Zoning Verification Letter

Overview

To verify the zoning designation of any property within the City of Anaheim, we recommend utilizing our online mapping application which provides you the property’s zoning designation.

You may also request a “Zoning Verification Letter” by visiting Anaheim.net/Next. A Zoning Verification Letter is a formal letter from the Planning Services Division that states the zoning of a property, previous zoning entitlements, and applicable rebuild clauses.

Please be advised that, items such as: Requests regarding open Fire Code, Building Code and Zoning Code Violations, as well as copies of the Certificates of Occupancy are handled separately as a public records requests (and not a zoning letter) and most of that information is available via the City’s online public portal

To submit a records request, such a copies of previous entitlements, you may submit a public records request form by clicking here and emailing it to PRecords@anaheim.net.


Payment Required

Payment is required before a request may be processed. The Zoning Verification Letter fee is $285. Once payment is received, your request will be reviewed by a planner within 10 business days.

Online Option

1. After online requests are completed through Anaheim.net/Next, payment via a credit card will be requested. 

Mail Option

1. Mail a check payable to “City of Anaheim” with the applicable fee to the mailing address listed below.

2. Include a letter of request identifying the subject area. 

Drop Off Option - Anaheim City Hall

1. Make a check payable to “City of Anaheim” with the applicable fee.

2. Include a letter of request identifying the subject area.

3. Drop off the check and letter of request at the Planning Services Division public counter located on the first floor of City Hall (200 S. Anaheim Blvd, Anaheim, CA 92805).
