While rain can be hard to come by in Anaheim, as a city we need to be ready when it does come.
It's always a good idea to have a game plan, or even a larger emergency plan for you and your loved ones for rain, other weather and incidents.
We have a handful of resources to help you prepare. They include checklists, flood information, soil erosion prevention and more.
Residents who live in the hills are encouraged to look around their properties and see if any steps should be taken to prevent hillside mud and debris from ending up on their property.
Residents in low-lying areas that typically see spot flooding are encouraged to get sandbags to have on hand while the weather is nice.
We encourage everyone to take the time to create a plan for your family should an emergency arise. Think about what you might need to bring with you in the event you'd have to leave your home.
Now is also a good time to sign up for Anaheim Alert to get important alerts and information from the city. Sign up at AnaheimAlert.net.
