When Power Goes Off

If one of these problems should occur, Anaheim’s local grid is designed to detect most outages and quickly restore power to as many customers as possible. Automated equipment and computer monitoring systems will inform utility operators of large outages, who will dispatch field staff to investigate the cause.

Anaheim’s electric operations center is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to dispatch a troubleshooter to respond quickly to power outages. However, if significant repairs are required after normal business hours, additional staffing for crews will require employees to report in, assemble materials, and make the necessary repairs.

In the meantime, here is some helpful information to ensure that you and your family are prepared.

Anaheim’s staff is trained to work on high voltage electric systems to restore power in a safe manner to all customers.
Please know that we are making every effort to restore your power as soon as possible.

If you were less than satisfied with our response to a power outage, or if you have questions or suggestions that you would like considered by executive management, please
