Welcome to Construction Inspection Services. The Construction Inspection Section provides field inspection for the construction of Public Works Capital Improvement Projects carried out by contractors for the City; field inspection of on-site grading and City right-of-way improvements by private sector developers; and field inspection of developments by other agencies or public utilities in the City right-of-way.
Duties & Responsibilities
Construction inspection is provided for quality control, and assurance that construction methods and activities are in compliance with applicable codes and standards. We are also responsible for monitoring and enforcement of Traffic and Construction Safety requirements, in and around construction zones.
Scheduling Inspections
To schedule inspections, please visit our Inspection Request Page. Requests for inspections must be received by 4 p.m. to schedule an inspection the following working day. Working days are Monday through Friday, excluding city observed holidays.
