Block Party Rules
- A petition signed by a responsible adult from every residence on the block (please include the resident's address and apartment number) along with the application. This list along with a map of the intersections to be barricaded must be submitted to Traffic Engineering at minimum 2 weeks in advance of the event.
- On the map, include simple hand-drawn markings to show where the barricades will be placed.
- Attendance at the Block Party is limited to those people living on the block. The residents will remove the necessary barricades.
- The residents will be responsible for setting up and removing the barricades. Barricades must be equipped with lights for after-dark use, and of a type that can be easily removed in case of emergency. Vehicles cannot be used as barricades.
- Live or amplified music is not permitted.
- The residents will be responsible for cleaning up any debris that may be left on the street after the Block Party.
- All lights and noise must be curtailed by 11 p.m.
- The Fire Department would like to remind all Anaheim residents that all firework use, including sparklers, is prohibited in the City of Anaheim. Safe & Sane fireworks may ONLY be used on Independence Day and ONLY at locations west of the 55 freeway. Illegal firework use is subject to citation and fines.
