Business Assistance Program

The Business Assistance Program offers resources and information beneficial for business owners in the process of opening a new business, remodeling or expanding an existing business.

MONITORING & COMMUNICATION

Business owners will be assigned a Business Solutions Specialist (a one-point contact from plan submission to final inspection) who will be available to answer questions, monitor the progress of the project, and link communication between City staff and business owners.

JUMP-START MEETINGS

Pre-development jump start meetings with Planning, Building and other City of Anaheim staff are available as needed to review your project and provide guidance on items to be considered as part of your overall scope of work.

AGENCY COORDINATION

Specialists coordinate among City departments and outside agencies, including Business License, Anaheim Public Utilities, Gas Company, Department of Alcohol Beverage Control (ABC), Orange County Environmental Health and the Orange County Sanitation District.

PROPERTY INFORMATION

The Planning Department offers an “Online Property Resource” to clients seeking available properties and property information. The “Online Property Resource” provides a database of available properties, demographic reports, land use and zoning information, and infrastructure information.

FEE DEFERRAL

This program allows for payment of the impact fees for new construction (both commercial and residential) to be deferred until the development is ready for final inspection, a temporary or final certificate of occupancy.
