What services does Anaheim Workforce Connection offer?
Anaheim Workforce Connection has a Career Corner available to Job Seekers. Our Career Corner has computers, copy machine, and printers that can be used for job search activities. You will also find information on current job leads, labor market information, training and many other valuable resources. Employer Recruitments give you direct access to local employers with current hiring needs. Our Career Advisors and Business Liaisons are available to assist you with your job search activities. Can I use more than one America’s Job Centers of California (AJCC) during my job search?
Yes. All America’s Job Centers of California (AJCC) have universal access for self-service activities such as resource room usage, on-site recruitments, CalJOBS registration, orientation, etc. However each AJCC has specific requirements to access services at their location.  In order to receive services at  Anaheim Workforce Connection you are required show a photo ID and Social Security Card and must be registered in CalJOBS. You will also be required to complete a Self-Service Application and sign our Rules of Conduct.

Can I enroll in Staff-Assisted or Training Services at more than one AJCC?
Co-enrollment is only allowed under special circumstances. Please ask to speak to a Career Advisor for more information.

Do I have to be a resident of Anaheim in order to use your AJCC? 
Anaheim Workforce Connection is available to residents from Anaheim and the surrounding community.

How old do I have to be in order to be enrolled at Anaheim Workforce Connection?
An individual has to be at least 18 years old to be enrolled at Anaheim Workforce Connection. However, we do have Youth Providers who provide services to individuals under the age of 18.

Does Anaheim Workforce Connection offer any Youth programs?
Yes, we work in partnership with several Youth providers including Youth Employment Opportunity Program, Job Corps, Orange County Conservation Corps and Hope Builders. Please visit the Youth Programs link on our website for additional information.

Is Anaheim Workforce Connection the same as EDD? Can you assist me with my Unemployment/Disability Insurance?
No, Anaheim Workforce Connection is not the same as EDD. The Employment Development Department (EDD) is a partner of Anaheim Workforce Connection. Anaheim Workforce Connection staff cannot answer questions regarding your Unemployment or Disability Insurance claims, however, we can refer you to an EDD representative for assistance. You can also schedule an appointment to use a computer in our Career Corner so that you can manage your claim online at www.edd.ca.gov/unemployment/UI_Online.htm.

Does your center offer typing certificates?
We can provide you with information on resources that offer typing certificates. For more information please visit our Career Corner or call Anaheim Workforce Connection.

Does Anaheim  Workforce Connection offer Veterans Services?
Yes. Our center has a full-time staff member dedicated to providing a variety of job search services and resources to U.S. Military Veterans. Referrals to specialized programs can be made for military veterans with barriers such as low income, homelessness, emotional, and mental health issues. We also partner with EDD Staff who have Veterans Representatives dedicated to assisting our local veterans and military spouses. Do you work with any schools that have training programs conducted in Spanish?
All of our training programs are conducted in English and generally require passing a reading and writing comprehension test.  If necessary, individuals can be referred to adult education classes to improve their English language skills prior to receiving vocational training.

Can your AJCC provide financial, transportation and day care assistance?
The main priority of Anaheim Workforce Connection is to assist individuals in their return to gainful employment. However, we can provide referrals to organizations that may be able to help in those areas. Does Anaheim Workforce Connection provide training?
Our primary goal is to assist individuals return to gainful employment. If after meeting with a Career Advisor and completing Comprehensive Assessment Testing it is determined that training would enhance your ability to obtain employment and become self-sufficient we may be able to refer you to one of our training providers. Paid training is offered at local schools active on our approved Eligible Training Provider List. Training must be directed towards careers that are “in demand” and that will lead to a self-sufficient wage. Anaheim Workforce Connection also has an On-the Job Training (OJT) program in which enrolled individuals can be hired by local employers who are looking for talent and willing to train and pay committed individuals during the training period. Can I be reimbursed for vendor school training that I have already signed up and paid for?
Anaheim Workforce Connection cannot reimburse you for costs associated with training that was not authorized for WIOA funding prior to the commencement of training.

Do you have on-site Career Counselors?
Anaheim Workforce Connection has Career Advisors that can assist an individual in determining a training/vocational direction through preference and skill based assessments, assist them in choosing the right vocational school and providing information on various community college classes and certificate programs. They can also provide valuable information on partner organizations, workshops, and resume building classes. Additional services could also include referrals for job placement assistance.
