Serrano Avenue Corridor Study

The City of Anaheim commissioned the development of the Serrano Avenue Corridor Study to evaluate the existing traffic conditions on the full stretch of Serrano Avenue through Anaheim. The study evaluated speeds at all hours of the day and helped staff develop recommendations to mitigate the potential for speeding.

The study found that more people drive at higher speeds after 9 p.m. and before 6 a.m. To address this, the city will be transitioning all traffic signals to "rest in red". This means that during nighttime hours, signals in all directions will show red. The signal will turn green once a car stops at the intersection.

A meeting was held on October 2, 2023, at the Anaheim Hills Golf Course where the City presented the Study and the recommended improvements.
