Cheaper: Fueling and maintenance costs of EVs are significantly lower than for their conventional gas engine counterparts.
Cleaner: With zero tailpipe emissions and increasingly cleaner electricity, the clean air benefits of electric vehicles promote public and environmental health.
Convenient: Unlike conventional gas vehicles, EVs can be refueled overnight in the convenience of your own home. Here in Anaheim, we are building out infrastructure and streamlining our processes to make it easier for all of our customers to recharge their vehicles - at home, work, and on the move.
Anaheim remains committed to reducing our carbon footprint and encouraging the use of zero emission vehicles.
Through the Mobile Source Air Pollution Reduction Review Committee’s Local Government Partnership Program, Anaheim Public Utilities has installed 21 electric fleet vehicle chargers at City Hall, Harbor Police Station, Canyon Power Plant, Edwards Utilities Complex, and the City Fleet Services Yard. In addition, 29 fleet chargers are planned for installation at various city sites in 2023. The partnership is dedicated to investing funds into communities to help reduce air pollution generated by mobile sources and improve air quality within the South Coast Air Quality Management District’s jurisdiction.
