City of Anaheim’s First-Time Homebuyer Program
The City of Anaheim First-Time Homebuyer Program provides low to moderate-income households the opportunity to purchase affordable homes through various mechanisms, including down payment assistance loans. The purpose of the Program is to facilitate access to home ownership opportunities for those households that can qualify for a primary mortgage, except where market prices are out of reach or they lack sufficient down payment funds. The City provides assistance through Density Bonus units and/or in the form of a down payment loan. Funding for these loans come from a variety of sources, including the State of California, federal grants and local funds. Each of these sources have specific requirements and regulations.
