Information Technology

The Information Technology section oversees all technology related projects within Anaheim Fire and Rescue. The Technology Analyst and GIS Captain, operate under the supervision of the Support Services Deputy Chief. The Technology Analyst procures, configures, and deploys fire related software solutions, including:
  • Records management systems
  • Staffing software
  • Video conferencing
  • Target Solutions training software GIS
  • GST/AVL mobile mapping
Fire Technology also manages hardware solutions including:
  • Mobile Data Computers (MDC)
  • Computers, iPads, and Tablets
  • Emergency Response Team (ERT) phones
GIS / Mapping Section
The GIS section is responsible for the mapping needs of Anaheim Fire & Rescue including mapping software updates, map book updates and distribution, and all related mapping needs associated with fire emergencies.
