The Tongva tribe is a tribe that once inhabited vast swaths of California including where the City of Anaheim is currently located! To honor them, we will be cooking the traditional dish of Rose Hip Jam and Mesquite Pancakes, while talking about the importance of the ingredients of the recipe and how they relate to the tribe.
