ANAHEIM, Calif. (March 4, 2019) — Mayor Harry Sidhu on Tuesday is set to outline a bold plan to invest in and renew Anaheim’s neighborhoods, building on a legacy of economic development in service of the city’s residents.
In his inaugural State of the City address, Mayor Sidhu is set to outline a new way of hearing directly from residents across the city and working with them to better the neighborhoods that together make up the fabric of Anaheim.
In doing so, Mayor Sidhu continues an Anaheim legacy of bold economic thinking and initiative to support a great quality of life for everyone who lives, works or visits here.
“For many years, the promise of Anaheim has been that as our economy thrives, our people will thrive with it,” Sidhu said.
Anaheim’s world-renowned businesses, the Disneyland Resort, Angels Baseball and the Anaheim Ducks, will join Mayor Sidhu to share updates on what makes Anaheim Orange County’s most exciting city.
Mayor Sidhu will also recap Anaheim’s leadership on homelessness, with a moving presentation on how we’ve changed the lives of those in need and restored our parks, streets and neighborhoods.
There will also be updates on how Anaheim has helped new and existing businesses, and how we are seeing unprecedented growth in the Anaheim Resort, an important economic engine that supports much of what we do as a city.
Anabel Muñoz, a reporter for ABC7 Eyewitness News, serves as master of ceremonies for the 2019 State of the City.
The event also features a silent auction benefiting Visit Anaheim Cares, the charitable arm of Visit Anaheim.
