Summer Reading Goes Virtual

Summer Reading Program 2020

ANAHEIM, Calif. (June 23, 2020)  Read a book, complete an activity and qualify for a chance to get books, gift cards and STEAM activity kits in a weekly raffle!

We invite readers of all ages to join this year’s virtual Summer Reading Program, “Dig Deeper: Read, Investigate, Discover” through Aug. 8, 2020.

With our temporary coronavirus closure, the Summer Reading Program will look a little different this year. But that won’t stop us from bringing you engaging programs.

It’s one of the many ways we’re still here for you.

Programs are hosted by staff who will offer educational activities throughout the summer, including on archaeology, cooking demos, yoga, and more!

Watch virtual the Summer Reading programming on the Library’s Facebook and Instagram and find the full list of programs at

Create a reading account at or download the mobile app, and track your summer reading progress, play games, earn badges, and more!

Participants who complete their summer reading challenge will receive prizes and incentives such as entries into a weekly raffle.

Reading as little as 20 minutes a day improves reading skills, and prepares your child for the upcoming school year.

Anaheim Public Library is here for you, promoting literacy and lifelong learning for Anaheim residents. Check out books and media with Curbside Pick-up and dig deeper with us.
