ANAHEIM, Calif. (Nov. 9, 2022) — More than 1,000 people are expected to get free medical, dental and vision care this weekend at the Anaheim Convention Center, while an adjoining citizenship fair will help those with seeking to become U.S. citizens.

The Anaheim Health Fair, now in its 16th year, will bring together more than 100 doctors, other healthcare professionals and volunteers offering free services to attendees, including many who don’t have health insurance or regular access to care.

For some parents, the health fair is their only chance for annual vision and dental care for their kids.

This year’s event also includes a citizenship fair with application help, legal advice and other assistance for those seeking to become U.S. citizens.

The citizenship fair, which rejoins the event this year after taking part in 2019, can help those just getting started with the process or those with applications already underway.

The health fair is an annual Anaheim tradition that brings the city and healthcare providers together to help those in need of healthcare.

A range of primary services are available, all at no cost, including:

  • Physicals, electrocardiograms and hearing tests
  •  Diabetes, cholesterol and other blood testing
  •  Mammograms and pap smears
  •  Dental fillings and extractions
  •  Eye exams and prescription glasses made onsite
  •  Flu shots and vaccines

The Anaheim Health Fair takes places Saturday, Nov. 12, and Sunday, Nov. 13, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The event takes place in Hall E of the Anaheim Convention Center with free parking accessible off West Street south of Katella Avenue.

Registration is encouraged and can be done at Anaheim.net/healthfair.

The citizenship fair, held by Orange County Communities Organized for Responsible Development, takes place Saturday, Nov. 12, with appointment times at 9 a.m., 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

You also can register for the citizenship fair at Anaheim.net/healthfair.
