  3. Papel Chicano Dos- The Collection of Cheech Marin

    Presenting 65 artworks by 24 established and emerging artists. Dating from the late 1980s to present day, their work demonstrates a myriad of techniques from watercolor and aquatint to paste and mixed media. Their iconic imagery has influences ranging from pre-Hispanic symbols and post-revolutionary nationalistic Mexican motives to the Chicano movement of the 1960s and contemporary urban culture.

    The Anaheim Children’s Festival is celebrating 28 years of bringing arts to the young people of Anaheim and their families. This event is a unique opportunity to celebrate the arts and to engage children, parents and everyone in the arts. The Muzeo of Anaheim is the major presenter of this arts festival. Over 50 organizations, city departments and more bring art projects to the Park atmosphere and invite the kids to “try art”. All art activities are FREE to the participants and include: arts, crafts, dancing lessons, art lessons, plus performing opportunities. Children’s Festival presented by the City of Anaheim & MUZEO will be celebrating on Saturday, May 18, from 11:00 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Pearson Park in Anaheim.

  2. Romance Author Day at Central

    May 18, 2019, 1:00 PM - 4:30 PM @ Central Multipurpose Room

    Celebrate twenty Southern California romance authors in a day of education, networking, mingling, readings, and discussion at Anaheim Central Library’s 3rd Annual Romance Author Day! The event will kick-off with a book fair from 1:00-1:30pm. Author readings, hosted by author Claire Davon, will be held from 1:30-2:30pm, in which ten authors will read a sampling of their work to showcase the talent assembled. Attendees will have another opportunity to mingle with authors at the book fair from 2:30-3:00pm. Following the book fair, from 3:00-4:00pm, attendees will enjoy a panel discussion moderated by author Aviva Vaughn. Following the panel discussion, from 4:00-4:30pm, attendees will have another opportunity to visit with authors at their tables. Meet your favorite authors and discover new romance authors as well as speak with the authors about their writers' journeys!
